Students learn about the psychology of learning, linguistic needs, and the socio-cultural aspects of language. - Prevalent Pedagogies in Language Instruction
Reviews current teaching methods and techniques. - Teaching and Integrating Skills
Students explore the terminology and paradigms of instruction for essential aspects of learning English: pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar. - Modifying Instruction for Individual and Group Needs
Discusses how to tailor lessons to specific students or group situations. - Classroom Management
Students learn principles of physical space and troubleshoot motivational issues. - Lesson Plans, Curricula, and Materials
Examines how to evaluate and use resources well, and how to develop effective lesson plans. - Ongoing Assessment of Students and Self
Discusses methods of measuring students' progress and proficiency. - CALL and Other Technology
Focuses on the use of computer-assisted language learning (CALL). - Issues of Ethics and Professionalism

Teaching Practicum (Flexible)
