TESL Express Teaching Academy offers unique, comprehensive courses designed and taught by our experienced TESOL professionals. The TESL Express faculty and staff have come together, from diverse backgrounds with global teaching experiences, to offer you our perspectives on living and teaching abroad.
We provide current or future teachers with the tools and experience they need to build a rewarding career in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The educational credential awarded upon completion of the program is a certificate in TESL/TEFL/TESOL*. In many countries, quality English language programs now require prospective teachers to be certified in TESL/TEFL/TESOL as well as having a two- or four-year degree.
In addition, we offer customized site-specific training for ESL schools spanning the globe. Your ESL school can work with our highly qualified teacher trainers to create a training course that fits your teachers' needs. receive expert feedback on their teaching materials and presentations, reflection papers, and final electronic portfolios. Our instructors work closely with students to ensure that they successfully complete the course. Our practicum provides real classroom experience at local
Seattle
schools and universities for our teachers-in-training, with guidance in reflective teaching (self-assessment). We require the completion of an e-portfolio by each individual teacher-in-training. The portfolio is used as both an assessment tool and as a compilation of work for prospective employers.
Throughout the course, we also offer job counseling and job placement advice to help you find the perfect destination for a teaching adventure overseas!
